AES Self-assessments provide a basis for continuing medical education, lifelong learning, and competency throughout epilepsy professionals' careers.
These online self-assessment activities consist of questions that test learner knowledge and competence on the given topic, and feedback is given immediately following each question. Peer benchmarking data is provided once all questions have been completed.

Maintenance of Certification
The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) has reviewed these self-assessment activities and has approved this program as part of a comprehensive epilepsy program, which is mandated by the ABMS as a necessary component of maintenance of certification.
AES offers these activities to help you fulfill your Maintenance of Certification (MOC) requirement to participate in a self-assessment activity. These self-assessments can be used as a study tool for the subspecialty certifying examination.
If you have questions regarding MOC, please contact the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology directly or refer to the ABPN Guide to MOC.
The American Epilepsy Society designates each activity for the number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ listed below. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
